“Oh my, it seems to have taken me quite a while to welcome you.” The blonde woman gave a trademarked smile that seemed to only offer compassion for her newest guests. “Welcome.”
“My name is Tomoe Mami. May I ask for yours?”
The sudden lurch makes her nearly draw a sword. The movement is startling, and it takes her a few moments to calm down. The soft kiss on her cheek is even more surprising, and she merely looks at you with that same fearful, hesitant expression she’s been wearing.
“Mami-senpai,” she starts slowly, closing her eyes. “I’m not stable right now. And I’ve hurt you so much already…You can do better, so much better.” She sighs and shakes her head, as if in denial of something.
Mami stayed at a relatively close distance with her hand softly cupping Sayaka’s cheek. Every one in a while, her thumb would softly graze the surface of her skin. The blonde did her best to keep steady eye-contact between the two of them maintained, showing a serious aspect that seemed heartfelt all the same.
“Sayaka-chan…” She, as well, started her words slowly, hesitating to find the right words that really conveyed what she really wanted to say.
“You needn’t worry about hurting me. If you had truly hurt me, I would not be sitting here at this moment. If I had any legitimate reason to be fearful of you, or keep my distance, that is what I would be doing. If it needs saying… There’s hardly any distance between us now.” A small smile appeared on her lips, and the traces of a chuckle lined her voice. “Doesn’t that say something? I… I don’t want you to push me away due to such fears, if that is your reasoning.”
